ResponsibleSports.com is continually evolving our content and what we offer to volunteer youth coaches and parents to help our kids learn and gain positive experiences from their youth sports on and off the field. One area we have developed and are excited to offer to our Responsible Sports community is our Media Library, where we offer short video clips of all sport related topics including videos from USA Softball Olympian Jessica Mendoza.
Jessica talks about many different topics that can be used across all levels of softball. She talks about how her parents supported her during her youth softball experience and how that has translated into her professional career. We have clips of her talking about how she learned from her parents to handle mistakes during a game, and also how to handle those mistakes away from the field. She also talks to parents on how to deal with your child after a tough lose or experiencing some kind of on the field failure. We have new sport specific video content which are great tools to help you talk to your child's coach, how to get on the same page as with your child about their goals for the season, how to handle mistakes after a game, filling your players emotional tanks and more!
One topic Jessica dives into is a few keys parents can remember when dealing with their children in sports. She talks about the importance of asking open ended questions to determine what the player saw out there, and to remember to have open and often communication with your children so you know what their goals are in sports, and how that compares to what your goals may be for your children. Watch the full video here!
We're going to be continually updated and adding videos along all kinds of different topics in youth sports. There are several ways you can share these new videos, you can link to them from your own website, making it easy for your teams to access the videos. Or you can share them with friends by sending them an email right on our site, its simple and easy! Visit our Media Library and pass along the videos you think your friends, family and teammates would enjoy!
