RHP
Greetings from Canada! We played our second game of the tournament today against Puerto Rico, and our bats came alive! The game was shortened to three innings because of the ten run rule, and Cat and I pitched. It has been fun to get back into the swing of things and get some innings under our belts! Since the majority of us have just been training together for the past six months, it was nice to play some new faces since we are pretty familiar with ourselves from the many inter-squad games we have played.
After our game today we had to go back to the field for opening ceremonies. They introduced all the teams and umpires. After a few pictures with some of the teams competing in the younger brackets, we got to head out and have the rest of our evening to do whatever we desired! For the most part we hang out around the hotel and find ways to entertain ourselves. I think my favorite past time lately has been playing Kelly Kretschmans’ Play Station 2. She brought her Guitar Hero game. I need to practice a little more before I will be able to go home and compete with my brothers though!
It has been a fun summer so far, and I know we have many more memories to make! I just want to say hello to my family and friends tracking us from afar! I love you guys and miss you! Thanks for all your support!
